Natalie Buda - User Experience Director

Natalie Buda has 17 years of experience developing user experiences and strategies for Fortune 200 companies. She is adept at user-centered design, including strategy, user research, interaction design, and enterprise information architecture. Since joining NavigationArts in 2003, Natalie has been a senior consultant on a variety of projects including Chemonics International, the American Association of Medical Colleges, General Dynamics, Pepco, The Washington Post Company, Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, the Greater Washington Board of Trade, and the U.S. Department of State.

Prior to joining NavigationArts, Natalie served as Director of User Experience at EDS, where she was involved in numerous projects for clients including AARP, Nextel Communications, and the Veteran’s Health Administration. Prior to that, she was Creative Services Manager and Creative Director at IBM’s Centers for e-Business Innovation. She managed user experience engagements on projects of up to $400M for clients including Dow Corning, Johnson & Johnson, Anthem Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and the U.S. Mint.

Over her career, Natalie has served in a diverse set of roles from strategy and project management to user research and interaction design. This gives her an understanding of how the user experience fits into the full development lifecycle and how it affects all aspects of development. She is prominent in the professional community and was an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University, teaching a class on "How Business Culture Manifests in Online Products." She has been a presenter and reviewer for ACM’s SIGGRAPH, the Usability Professionals Association, and Adaptive Path’s User Experience Week.

Natalie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Design from North Carolina State University.
