Headquarted in our Nation's Capital, D.C. United is the most successful professional soccer organization in the United States. Over its history, United has won four MLS Cup Championships and 2 U.S. Open Cups.
Challenge
D.C. United was not effectively reaching its constituents through the web. Fans struggled to find information on game schedules, tickets purchases, and basic roster information. D.C. United needed a website that promoted the team and sport in the region, and matched the prestige of the United name.
Solution
User research revealed that D.C. United fans wanted compelling content, web interaction, and easy access to the team’s game schedule. The new site includes:
- Enhanced video presentation
- Content aggregation from mainstream news outlets and other fan blogs
- A schedule widget for quick search and ticket purchase

The new visual design replicates the game-day experience. Its immersive, sleek design removes clutter to let users cut through the site to the information they want.
Previously, NavigationArts designed and built Behind the Badge, the D.C. United blog. The blog has quickly become the go-to spot for the club’s most ardent supporters, as well as the place for new fans to learn about the unique individuals that make up United.
