Sallie Mae Website Wins WebAward

MCLEAN, VIRGINIA, September 18, 2007 – The Web Marketing Association today awarded a 2007 WebAward recognizing outstanding achievement in website development for Sallie Mae’s public website, designed by NavigationArts. One of the Internet’s premiere honors, the WebAwards is an international competition designed to judge corporate websites against an industry standard, and against peer sites within their industry.

Sallie Mae turned to NavigationArts for help in developing a strategic vision of a single, cohesive online experience incorporating its growing array of content, products, and services. To transform this vision into a public facing website, NavigationArts provided user research, user centered design, information architecture, and user interface design services. In addition, NavigationArts assisted in implementation of a content management system.

The 2007 WebAward competition received more than 2,400 entries. Entries were judged on Web design, copywriting, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation and use of technology. Judges included members of the media, advertising executives, site designers, creative directors, corporate marketing executives, content providers and Webmasters.
