NavigationArts Senior Information Architect to present at Refresh DC event April 19
MCLEAN, VIRGINIA, April 18, 2007 — John Sutton, a Senior Information Architect (IA) and Interaction Designer (IxD) at NavigationArts, will be speaking tomorrow (Thursday, April 19th) at the April meeting of Refresh DC. The Refresh DC group, described as "the best and brightest new media professionals in the DC metro area," is one of nearly thirty similar groups in cities across the United States.
John's presentation, "Information Architecture Explained," will share core practices and new concepts in the fields of information architecture and interaction design. After explaining the role of an information architect, John will focus on how IAs work with designers and developers during project work. "Many people have no idea what an IA does," says John, "By demystifying our role, I'd like to help the designers and developers in the audience understand how to work together with IAs - or others who perform IA-like functions - in their workplace."
