2007 Press Release
RevolutionHealth.com launches with information architecture and strategy support by NavigationArts
MCLEAN, VIRGINIA, January 22, 2007 — Steve Case, a co-founder of AOL who has led several new ventures since leaving Time Warner in 2003, today launched his latest project, Revolution Health's www.revolutionhealth.com. It is the first public Web site of Case’s Revolution Health group, whose mission is to offer Web-based, customer-centered health care tools including a digitized medical history, physician ratings, and assistance with insurance claims. Backed by a group of powerful investors including Colin Powell and several Fortune 500 former CEOs, Revolution Health will harness the potential of social networking to empower consumers in the healthcare process.
NavigationArts’ role in the development of RevolutionHealth.com included providing targeted information architecture, an acknowledgement by Revolution Health that such practices are critical when attempting the complex information exchange at the foundation of the site. For example, multi-step forms, a key component of social networking sites, vary widely in usability and engendered trust. A skilled information architect can design an intuitive form experience that creates the sense of trust necessary when asking for medical information.
In addition to information architecture, NavigationArts provided strategy guidance on how to best expose a dual member/free offering on the Web.

About Revolution Health
Steve Case writes, “We aim to build RevolutionHealth.com into the world’s leading health site—and we hope that our focus on an engaging design, high levels of personalization, and an unparalleled sense of community will enable us to achieve that goal. But we’re far more than a web site. We’re a company that’s trying to fundamentally change the health care system. Revolution Health is about making sense of the complicated world of health care. And it’s about putting you – the patient – at the center of that world.”
