NavigationArts conducts session on Web usability issues for higher education at the 2003 Datatel Users' Conference.
WASHINGTON, DC — March 11, 2003 — Leo C. Mullen, CEO of NavigationArts, has been invited to speak at the Datatel Users' Conference on March 11, 2003 in Washington, DC. Datatel is a leading provider of management software solutions that help colleges and universities operate crucial administrative functions more efficiently and effectively. The Datatel Users' Conference is an annual gathering to promote best-practices and information sharing among users of Datatel's software.
Mr. Mullen leads the Usability Practice at NavigationArts. His presentation will focus on the issues faced by colleges and universities as they attempt to reduce administrative costs by driving more campus services into self-service web environments. By applying usability lessons learned from the commercial sector, today's colleges are able to reduce servicing expenses, promote higher online adoption rates, and gain competitive advantages for attracting and retaining students. Conference attendees will include leaders and administrators from many colleges and universities across the US and Canada.
Mr. Mullen is Chairman and CEO of NavigationArts, LLC, a strategic consultancy providing expert services in usability design for web commerce and communications. He works extensively with Fortune 500 clients in the US and Europe and leading educational institutions. Mr. Mullen holds both Master of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the Pennsylvania State University, where he was selected 2002 Alumni Fellow in the College of Arts and Architecture for his work in software usability design.
