Leo Mullen, CEO of NavigationArts, is named 2002 Alumni Fellow of The Pennsylvania State University.

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA — February 15, 2002 — The Pennsylvania State University today announced the selection of Leo C. Mullen as an Alumni Fellow for 2002 in the College of Arts and Architecture. This award, the highest given by the Alumni Association, recognizes the University's most prominent alumni each year and was awarded to Mr. Mullen in honor of his professional accomplishments. As part of the Alumni Fellow program, Mr. Mullen will participate in a series of colloquies designed to share his expertise and experience with University students, faculty and administrators. The focus of his fellowship will center on the development of entrepreneurial skills necessary to capitalize on emerging market trends in the design and information technology.

Mr. Mullen is Chairman and CEO of NavigationArts, LLC, an Internet design and software solutions company located in Washington, D.C. NavigationArts specializes in the disciplines of information architecture and user experience design required to optimize the business value of corporate Internet channels. Prior to founding NavigationArts, Mr. Mullen was President of Iconixx, an end-to-end Internet solutions provider with offices across the U.S. and in Europe.

Mr. Mullen holds both Master of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the Pennsylvania State University, and serves as Chairman of the Advisory Board to the School of Visual Arts.
