Sallie Mae Names NavigationArts as its Internet Agency

Sallie Mae, the nation’s leading provider of educational funding, has selected NavigationArts as its Internet agency of record. NavigationArts, a McLean, Virginia based consultancy is a leading provider of user-experience design to the financial services marketplace. NavigationArts will be responsible for providing Internet strategy, e-business consulting, usability optimization, web brand guidance and user experience design. The dollar value of the contract was not made public.

“NavigationArts is extremely adept at understanding the needs of online consumers and creating programs that allow users to accomplish tasks easily and effectively,” said Mark Overend, Sallie Mae’s Senior Vice President of e-Commerce. “We value their strategic insight and user experience expertise, since so much of our relationship with customers is now managed online.”

SLM Corporation, commonly known as Sallie Mae, manages nearly $95 billion in student loans for more than 7 million borrowers. The company primarily provides federally guaranteed student loans originated under the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP), and offers comprehensive information and resources to guide students, parents and guidance professionals through the financial aid process.

NavigationArts is a strategic consultancy providing expert advisory, design and development services for B2B and B2C clients. The company’s services optimize the online user experience for their clients, maximizing business value for commerce and communications.
