Mid-America Apartment Communities Wins IMA

McLean, VA — July 27th, 2011

Mid-America Apartment Communities (MAA), a client of NavigationArts, has been awarded the Best in Class Real Estate Website from Interactive Media Awards (IMA). IMA is an international competition whose goal is to expose progressive, best of breed web designs. The Best in Class category is the highest honor awarded, and recognizes the very best in website planning and execution.

MAA launched their redesigned website in March of this year. Key to the redesign was the synthesis of MAA’s corporate and 158 apartment community websites under one domain. Through this integration, NavigationArts’ developed a persona-based user experience that quickly enables users to self identify and locate content specific to their needs. The new web experience includes a custom-built faceted search application that allows users to find real-time apartment availability information. Through complex integrations with numerous third-party systems, the new MAA web presence is maintained through one centralized Content Management System, which provides the infrastructure and tools to facilitate delivery of engaging and relevant content that meets the individual needs of current residents, potential customers, investors, and MAA employees.

NavigationArts also designed and developed the MAA mobile-optimized site, which launched this month. The site features a streamlined version of maac.com that caters specifically to apartment seekers searching for data on the go.

This is the fourth IMA NavigationArts has received this year. To view our awards, visit the Winner’s Gallery page on the IMA website.
