NavigationArts Named to the Inc 5000 list

McLean, Virginia — August 24th, 2010

NavigationArts, a professional web design and development consulting firm, announced today that the company was named to this year’s Inc. 5000 list, a compendium of the most entrepreneurial and fastest growing private companies in America. NavigationArts is #1994 on the list.

The co-founder and CEO of NavigationArts, Leo Mullen, commented on the award; “I’ve always looked to Inc. Magazine for special insight into how small companies grow into large ones, and for inspiration to keep my company moving forward through uncertain economic times. So, it is extremely gratifying to see NavigationArts included this year in the ranks of the Inc. 5000. We’re honored to be in the company of so many other excellent organizations who collectively are helping define the next generation of America’s economic growth.” Mullen attributes his company’s success to his talented and experienced team; “In any small company like NavigationArts, it is the loyalty and dedication of our employees that allow us to achieve this wonderful recognition.”

NavigationArts boasts tremendous growth since its founding in 2001. The company has persevered through the difficult economic climate with a revenue growth of 234% from 2006 to 2009. The firm has provided web solutions to prominent clients including Discovery Education, Blackboard, Smithsonian Institution, George Washington University, Laureate International Universities, NPR, PBS, The Washington Post, Charlotte Observer, St. Jude Medical, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Institute of Medicine, Freddie Mac, Pepco, NASDAQ, U.S. State Department, and American Red Cross.

The Information Technology Sector, of which NavigationArts is a part, was the most popular business category for private company growth in the U.S. for this year’s Inc. 5000 list.

"It's hard to overstate the importance of web technologies to business today,” said Mullen. “The web has evolved with blazing speed from an omnipotent communications channel to the only software development platform that really matters anymore. Companies who are not web-enabling all of their core customer interaction processes, integrating strategies for mobile and social users, run the risk of sudden, painful marginalization at the hands of more nimble competitors."
