NavigationArts Welcomes Matt Walters as VP of Program Management
McLean, Virginia — May 6th, 2009
NavigationArts today announced that Matt Walters has joined the company as Vice President, Program Management. Matt brings more than 16 years experience in Web systems development and software engineering to his new role at NavigationArts. He specializes in project management, technical leadership, and strategic analysis.
Matt joins NavigationArts from Aquilent where he led the strategy and implementation efforts for enterprise web portals and web content management systems. Representative work includes websites, applications, web portals, and content management systems at the Department of Veterans Affairs, General Services Administration, Health and Human Services, United States Postal Service, and other cabinet-level agencies.
Matt started his career as an Information Systems Officer in the U.S. Marine Corps after graduating from the United States Naval Academy with a degree in Computer Science. He was responsible for leading the reengineering of a large inventory control system. Additionally, he created the first Marine Corps website, www.marineofficer.com, to provide information to prospective college students and to allow users to submit online requests for information which was then distributed across a nationwide network of officer recruiters.
As V.P., Program Management, Matt will build on NavigationArts' success in large-scale web design and development projects.
