NavigationArts Launches Preview Website for LandScope America
October 18th, 2007
NavigationArts today announced the launch of a preview website for LandScope America, a collaborative land conservation project led by NatureServe and the National Geographic Society. The preview site will generate awareness, energy, and a community of users for LandScope America, and offers a glimpse at the highly dynamic and accessible maps, data, and stories that will bring its mission to life. Planned for full release in fall 2008, the interactive website will serve as an educational tool and a call to action for those in a position to impact land conservation.
NavigationArts’ expertise in user experience research, information architecture design, and developing site concepts will make the LandScope America site the premier online resource for conservation issues. “The preview site demonstrates what a tremendous resource this will be in increasing the pace and effectiveness of land-protection, and we welcome the public’s early engagement in LandScope America,” said Leo Mullen, CEO of NavigationArts.
In addition to website strategy, development, and design, NavigationArts was responsible for building the LandScope America brand, including naming, logo design, and messaging. The LandScope America site, set to launch in fall 2008, requires integrating technologies, developing custom code, and aggregating content from hundreds of sources. This online resource will incorporate data-rich maps portraying conservation priorities, multimedia content, and community elements to educate policy makers, land trusts, and the general public about critical conservation issues.
