National Education Association selects NavigationArts for Internet strategy and design

August 14th, 2006

NavigationArts, a leading user experience design consultancy, today announced that the National Education Association (NEA) has selected the firm to develop a comprehensive web strategy and redesign its website. Drawing on its experience with associations and other mission-oriented groups, NavigationArts will help the NEA better serve a diverse set of users, including members, prospective members, students, parents, policy makers and the press.

"This project will call on our expertise in helping non-profits serve a wide range of users via the web" said Leo Mullen, CEO of NavigationArts. "We are particularly enthusiastic about helping the NEA communicate clearly and consistently through online channels, allowing it to more effectively perform its mission of promoting high quality public education."

The project’s most challenging task is to create an Internet strategy that logically connects elements of a user experience that has evolved organically. In keeping with NavigationArts’ user-centered design process, one of the first steps toward such a strategy will be interviews and other analysis to determine the needs of key NEA constituencies. Focus groups and online user testing will ensure that the new site structure and design is based on a platform of user needs.

Project completion is anticipated in Q4 of 2006. The cost of the contract was not disclosed.
