NavigationArts is looking for experienced strategic thinkers seeking a leadership role in the delivery of internet solutions. Prospects would be a senior member of a seasoned strategy and project management team and would have the opportunity to lead experienced project teams on large and complex accounts. Skills should include relationship management, public facing Web expertise, and project management best practices. Responsibilities
- Provide strategic counsel to executive level clients
- Analyze user, market, and technology requirements
- Perform strategic analyses and conduct best practices audits
- Manage, contribute to, and lead cross-functional delivery teams
- Facilitate requirements gathering and definition sessions
- Partner with sales to present and scope projects for new and existing clients
- Support business development efforts with research, structure, and smart thinking
- Provide client relationship oversight while seeking additional business opportunities
- Guide, train and oversee other project managers in delivery of large scale engagements
- Provide leadership for project management team and assist in the identification and development of project management best practices
- Plan and manage the delivery of multiple large concurrent client engagements
- Develop detailed project schedules, status reports, and projections
- Manage client expectations around budget, scope and schedule
- Ensure clear communication regarding requests which impact both scope and schedule
- Coordinate with resource manager to ensure team member availability and commitment
- Ensure timely signoff by client stakeholders of project deliverables
- Ensure the quality delivery of required work products and client presentations
- Track, update, and report project health in terms of schedule, scope, and budget
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Advanced degree
- Superior communication skills (both written and presentation)
- Business development and proposal writing experience
- Strong understanding and experience with Web technologies and user experience
- Team oriented and collaborative with the drive to make things happen
- Highly organized personality with the ability to be flexible and creative
- 15+ years of consulting experience
- 5+ years of project management experience
- 5+ years of Web development experience
- Microsoft Project experience
The senior consultant is a vital member of our collaborative team and must be able to work in our offices in McLean, VA; therefore we are only interested in candidates in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
