Careers: Associate Project Manager
NavigationArts is seeking highly energetic and organized up and comers looking to expand their skills in project management and internet technologies. Candidates would be members of a seasoned project management team and have the opportunity to support and assist in the administration of large scale engagements designed to develop long term skills in project management. Associate Project Managers would have the opportunities to manage small to mid-size clients and projects with the support and mentoring of a Senior Project Managers. Candidates would work on project teams that include a senior staff of information architects, user interface and interaction designers, web developers and engineers. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified candidate who wants to grow in skills and experience along with an expanding organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior managers in the planning, tracking and delivery of their projects
- Support and coordinate team members in the delivery of project commitments
- Assist sales and senior managers in presenting and scoping projects for clients
- Support business development efforts with research, structure and smart thinking
- Plan and manage the delivery of multiple concurrent small to medium size projects
- Develop detailed project schedules, status reports, and projections and manage closely
- Manage client and internal expectations around budget, scope and schedule
- Ensure clear communication regarding requests which impact both scope and schedule
- Coordinate with resource manager to ensure team member availability and commitment
- Ensure timely signoff by client stakeholders of project deliverables
- Ensure the quality delivery of required work products and client presentations
- Track, update, and report project health in terms of schedule, scope, and budget
- Helps acclimate new team members
Competencies
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Understanding and experience with web technologies and user experience concepts
- Team focused and collaborative with the drive to make things happen
- Highly organized with the ability to be flexible and creative
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2 years of project management experience or an advanced degree
- Microsoft Project experience a plus
