Sales Executive
NavigationArts is looking for a polished and proven Sales Executive who can open doors for us by networking and selling into new accounts. We seek a strategic solution seller to leverage our world-class service offerings in Web strategy, usability, user experience design, and technology for effective Web sites, portals, intranets, and Web applications. We seek an individual experienced in consultative sales, prospecting, and building relationships with an executive-level audience in the Global 4000 market—a sales pro who can bring existing relationships to the table while building new client relationships by networking and, at times, cold calling. He/she must have excellent presentation, writing and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to create and deliver a persuasive pitch. This position is a key member of the NavigationArts sales force.
Responsibilities
- Owning the prospect relationship through the sales process lifecycle: prospecting, presenting, qualifying, needs analysis, proposal, negotiation and close, for projects ranging from $50K to $500K +
- Leveraging existing relationships to generate leads
- Networking and calling to identify new opportunities
- Qualifying and pursuing company-supplied leads and RFPs
- Conducting needs analysis to understand prospect pain points and configure services accordingly
- Representing the company and/or presenting at company sponsored events
- Formal executive-level presentations to new prospects
- Managing the proposal process, which includes contributions of PM and delivery team
- Negotiating contract terms, closing deals, and coordinating with PM and COO to schedule project start
- Entering gathered data into lead and opportunity tracking software
- Maintaining a record of daily activities in company database tracking interactions with prospects and customers
- Providing daily/weekly updates to VP of Business Development on individual activity
- Working closely with the sales and marketing team to develop new ways to increase awareness of company products and services
Skills
- Solid command of basic sales techniques and consultative selling
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to develop high quality written proposals and focused presentations for services
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to and communicate effectively with executive-level and mid-level management
- Excellent collaboration and team work skills for working with delivery teams on presentations and proposals
Experience
- 5-10 plus years experience selling consulting and technical services for a major consulting , IT services, or technology company
- Experience selling Internet business services or related technology professional services is preferable; knowledge and experience in web strategy, usability, user experience design and/or web development is highly desirable
- A proven track record of meeting quota in prior sales positions
We have a strong delivery team to assist in presentations, proposals, and closing deals. We offer a generous compensation plan with significant rewards for exceeding quotas. Bachelors degree, 5-10+ years of sales experience preferably in Internet or related technology professional services. Strong network ties in the Washington DC metro and/or Baltimore area.
