We are currently seeking a Java developer. The ideal candidate will be able to architect and program Web-based applications and participate in the full lifecycle of the development process. Experience working with various content management system technologies, as well as working in a design-centric environment, is desired.

The candidate should posses the ability to understand business rules and requirements and translate them into project tasks and software deliverables. Experience creating enterprise-grade Web-based solutions that scale and can be maintained is a must.

The candidate must have excellent written and communication skills in order to interact with clients, create documentation, and assist in mentoring other staff members and clients in maintaining delivered solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of development in Java/J2EE
• Oracle and SQL Server
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Strong Object Oriented coding background
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or similar experience
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Independent worker
• Ability to deal with compressed schedules
• Ability to pick up existing projects / requirements
• Ability to juggle multiple projects

Pluses would be

• (X)HTML and CSS
• JavaScript and Ajax experience
• ActionScript, Flash, or Flex skills
• Experience with accessibility rules such as Section 508
• Experience with major Java-based CMS
• Any level of security clearance
