NavigationArts is looking for a well-rounded Flash Designer/Developer with ActionScript development experience and a strong interactive portfolio. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who enjoys creating high-end design for business benefit. This person is responsible for the creation of designs, animations and ActionScript in Flash for Internet and interactive platforms. Experience with Flash Lite for mobile devices and other front-end or interactive technologies is a definite benefit.

Responsibilities

• Being part of a team that collaborates on solutions from concept to completion
• Creating designs in Photoshop or Flash for a variety of clients, in a range of industries to meet project requirements and handoff to the engineers or the client
• Communicating and collaborating with project managers, information architects, engineers, other designers and other user experience roles in all stages of production to create effective and intuitive user interfaces
• Developing Flash files with ActionScript code for interactive and animated projects
• Keeping up to date with Internet best practices and trends in the visual design and Flash development fields

Requirements and Experience

Competitive candidates for the Flash Designer/Developer position must have a professional background and strong interpersonal and teaming skills. They must be experienced in disciplines of user experience design and development, specifically:

• BA or BS degree in a Design, Computer Science or related major
• Minimum of three years of successful experience in the creative services industry
• Minimum of two years of successful experience in the Web design and development
• Proven and successful experience creating Flash animations and interactive projects
• Knowledge of Internet and Web technologies and best practices
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A passion for creating highly usable Web sites that optimize the user experience
