Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids Launches Refreshed Website, Designed by NavArts

McLean, VA — February 25th, 2011

Tobacco Free Kids

NavigationArts, a strategic web consultancy, is proud to announce the launch of a new website for the Campaign For Tobacco-Free Kids. The Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids is a leading force in the fight to reduce tobacco use and its deadly toll in the United States and around the world. The organization’s website is a critical communications and fundraising command center that advocates for public policies that prevent kids from smoking, help smokers quit, and protect everyone from secondhand smoke.

NavigationArts rearchitected and redesigned the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids’ website so that it better serves its distinct audience segments including tobacco control advocates, policy-makers, media, researchers, donors, and youth. User research was an important early phase of the project. NavigationArts sought internal stakeholder and external user perspectives in order to create a website that both captures the Campaign’s purpose and caters to users.

“NavigationArts has been an invaluable partner in helping us design a site that is easy to navigate, improves access to the content we offer multiple audiences, and dynamically presents our mission to eliminate the death and disease tobacco causes in the United States and around the world,” said Vince Willmore, Vice President for Communications at the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids.

Hallmarks of the new website include optimal navigation, quick and easy access to an extensive collection of research such as popular Fact Sheets, and built-in promotion of web-based opportunities to participate in the Campaign. NavigationArts guided the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids in reprioritizing and reorganizing homepage content based on user research and website analytics. NavigationArts also created a strategy around a unified visual identiity for the Campaign’s family of websites to increase connectivity and streamline messaging. A key result of the redesign is the increase in opportunities to take action across the site.
